“I had a total right hip replacement in June. My research and council from Dr. Wiley were that I would be unable to walk unaided or drive for several weeks. I had surgery at 8:45 am approximately, and out or recovery by 10:15 am. By 1:00 pm I was out of bed and using a walker. I walked the entire 5th floor. By midnight that night I had made two more laps of the floor. At 7:00 am Thursday morning I met with Dr. Wiley and requested I be released. I then made two more laps of the 5th floor, all with crutches. By 1:00 pm I was released, and my son drove me home. Friday, I was well enough to navigate the house unaided by crutches, and without any discernable pain. I have gotten steadily more confident and my strength has come back noticeably. I no longer favor that leg nor do I have any pain associated with my hip joint being all but destroyed. Dr. Wiley was straightforward with me and what my limitations might be. I am four days since surgery and doing my regular household chores and walking without any aid. I would recommend Dr. Wiley to anyone contemplating surgery. Why did I put off this for 4 years is anyone's guess.”
