Industrial Medicine

Middle Georgia Orthopaedics is dedicated to promoting and protecting the health of workers through preventive services, treatment of injuries, and educational services. In our Industrial Medicine Practice, we focus on occupational musculoskeletal injuries and disorders and other health-related issues that affect productivity and profitability as well as the well-being of management and employees. Our services are designed to help keep compensation costs under control.

We see injured employees promptly, provide proper treatment and return employees to the job as quickly as medically prudent. Our Industrial Medicine Practice is streamlined to safely and effectively return injured workers to gainful employment and to help prevent future injuries.

Work-related injuries are a growing problem:
  • 11 million work-related injuries per year
  • Majority are sprains and strains
  • Back and neck injuries represent more than 25 percent of presenting diagnoses

Industrial Medicine practices:
  • Improve medical outcomes
  • Reduce the amount of lost time from work
  • Reduce the overall cost
  • Treat work related injuries similar to a sports medicine approach.
  • The sooner the injury rehabilitation begins the better the outcome

Among the organizations using our Industrial Medicine Services are Robins Air Force Base, the Houston County Board of Education and the Houston County Board of Commissioners.
